[Inga] "had a brother named George Johnson who worked at the rubber mills in North LaCrosse. I was at that wedding. I was just past 17 years of age. Albert Johnson was there, too. [See plate 26.] He was not married at that time. George sent Albert to the saloon to get an eighth of beer and Albert said, 'Better get two kegs, one won't last long,' and the reply he got was, 'No one's going to get drunk here.'" (Excerpt from Carl Borreson's recollection of Lars and Inga Johnson Borreson's history. Carl Borreson was a son from Lars Borreson's first marriage.)
